Balanced Canine Inc. is an in-home style boarding facility; not a traditional kennel. We saw and met the need to create a boarding facility that was as safe and clean as a traditional kennel, but with the comforts of home. We are South Surrey’s/White Rocks finest boarding kennel! We are just 40 minutes from Downtown Vancouver & the Airport, and 5 minutes from the border.
Sleeping Quarters:
All our borders are provided personal sleeping quarters in the entry level of our home. They are equipped with their own non-destructible raised orthopedic dog bed, a water bucket and blanket (if requested). Since your dog is in our home, we can hear them if they need us, have all the similar sounds of home and can keep close eyes and ears on them. Dogs are rarely stressed or anxious at our facility. If your dog is young, or most comfortable sleeping in a secure crate, we provide crates of all sizes as well. There is also a TV in their sleeping quarters, for their listening and viewing pleasure.
How your dog spends their day:
During the day, your dog will receive a morning and evening on-leash walk. After their walk, they are free to romp around with playmates (or by themselves if they prefer) in one of our play yards, also equipped with raised orthopedic dogs beds, sheltered areas and toys. Our play yards are covered with playground mulch (not rough gravel which can be too tough on many dogs feet), are dig proof, clean and have excellent drainage.
Feeding:
We request that you provide your dogs regular food, to avoid tummy upsets by sudden changes in food. Raw food or dry food is both welcome here. Dogs with food allergies are no problem as well.
Grooming:
We can have your dog fluffed and puffed before going home! We have a Professional Certified Groomer on staff so you can pick up your dog cleaner than when they arrived! Inquire at drop off for rates on our Grooming services.
Vaccine Requirements:
We request that your dog has had their Combo (DAPH) shot within the past three years. Titers are accepted.
Board & Train:
Board & Train is available to some dogs on a case-by-case basis. We can cover most Obedience and Manners issues while boarding, but all Aggression or Social Rehabilitation cases will need to be discussed with a Trainer.

Saturday & Sunday: 9am–11am
On occasion, we can provide drop off and pick up outside our regular hours and a small fee would apply. We do our best to accommodate.

Visitations/viewings are welcome, but please make an appointment to do so.
Boarding:
$35 per day, for our regular dogs, plus GST
$45 per day, for dog or human reactive dogs, plus GST
$425 per week, for Board & Train, plus GST
